Bay and Delta Yacht Charters (BDYC) Announces New San Francisco Bay Music Cruise; Top Bands “Play the Bay” Live Aboard BDYC’s Luxury Floating Nightclub
SAUSALITO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Bay and Delta Yacht Charters (BDYC), providers of the San Francisco Bay’s most popular luxury motor yacht charters and specialty cruises, today announced its weekend “Music on the Bay” cruises aboard the famous 90-foot Sausalito Empress. Launched earlier this summer, Music on the Bay has quickly become a must-do Sunday adventure with popular live shows for fun seekers of all ages.
Three generations of Captain Gerry’s family share their love for sailing in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, and enjoy sailing to the beat of the best in popular musical talent. “Our Sunday music cruises have become a huge success,” said BDYC Founder Captain Gerry
Robertson. “We give everyone the VIP treatment, including the bands. And when the band is having fun, you know everyone is guaranteed a good time.”
“BDYC spoils us,” says Rudy Colombini, AKA Mick Jagger in The Unauthorized Rolling Stones tribute band. “We’ve toured in huge venues all over the world, but prefer the fun, more intimate atmosphere. ‘Playing the Bay’ is almost like inviting a bunch of friends to a jam session on our own private yacht.”
“Great music, spectacular scenery, and first class travel. It’s like being on a mini vacation,” said Sherry Cassidy, regular guest on Music on the Bay Cruises. “What a fantastic escape from the everyday grind!”
Each Sunday at 4pm, Music on the Bay debarks from the Sausalito harbor with a savvy selection of musical talent, appetizers, buffet dinner and drinks on board, for just $40 per person. Accommodating 149 passengers in style and comfort, the 90-foot Empress is
designed for luxury entertaining with two bars, indoor/outdoor decks, and beautifully decorated restrooms. The main lounge features an elegant wooden interior, comfortable leather furnishings, dance floor and an exceptional sound system. The large dining room and bar on the first deck allow couples, family, friends and business associates to indulge in dining and quiet conversation while still enjoying the views.
Music on the Bay combines owner Captain Gerry Robertson’s two greatest passions – sailing and music. In the 70’s, he was the founder, original manager and promoter for the legendary band Journey, which got its start in Gerry’s own basement. He also left his mark in rock n’ roll history with his company, Primo Productions, which built the world’s most powerful sound systems of its time. For 6 years, he toured with the famous band Santana, bringing new sound experiences to live concerts in the largest music venues in the country.
